Schools can avoid makeup day

Children in at least two school districts in Pierce County may be able to avoid making some classes of snow and day lost the January ice storm.

The State determines the minimum number of school days and hours that each district should be instructional offers students. In emergency conditions, the district may be eligible for a waiver that offers some relief from the minimum school calendar.

Some local school districts already have announced their snow make-up day. Others are waiting to hear if they qualify for a waiver.

Police arrest man in Mall kiosks theft

Anne Arundel County Police have arrested a Millersville as one of the two suspects in the theft of jewerly and thousands of dollars in cash from Arundel Mills mall kiosk on Sunday.

Police said in a press release that they charged John Thomas Cook IV, 22, of Ski Lane with theft, stated that he worked with others to steal the safe in the Gold Rush that the kiosks at the Mall.

The first officer responded to the Mall at around 11 am Sunday to report the theft. They work with Arundel Mills Mall management and security management for collecting information from witnesses and reviewing video surveillance.

Police said they presented a search warrant on Monday at around 1 in 501 Ski Lane in Millersville, and the second in the afternoon on a Loop at 746 Heather Glen Burnie. Warrants have resulted in the discovery of jewelry and money belonging to stall the Gold Rush, police said.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark.

An online marketplace for Designer Fashion boutiques FarFetch raises $ 18 M from …

Launched in 2008, the market brings Farfetch.com is a boutique independent fashion from Europe and North America under one roof. London-based company offering online boutiques curated network of designer brands such as Fendi, Gucci, Chloé and from emerging designers. Today the site offers clothing for men and women, and includes more than 35,000.

The company said that at the moment is to see the growth rate of 204 percent in annual sales. Farfetch.com has more than 56,000 customers in 100 countries, with 50 percent of sales are sent to markets emerging and new. The market has 110 boutiques partners in Europe and America, and 60 partners in Brazil. The company currently represents over 200 boutique locations around the world in 12 countries.
